With just days to go, the team working around the clock behind the scenes share what they are looking forward to at the 2018 show at the NEC on Thursday 11th October.

Show director Graham Yandell:

“The Group Leisure & Travel Show is a very special day in the groups calendar when we bring people together who are serious about group travel.

“Having said that, it’s a fun day with plenty going on and some great celebrity speakers. I am really looking forward to meeting old friends and making new ones.”

Group Leisure & Travel magazine editor Keeley Rodgers:

“The GLT Show is a great opportunity for me to meet so many of our readers and people from the attractions and companies we work with throughout the year.

“It’s very inspirational too, especially listening to our three celebrity speakers – I can’t wait for 11th October!”

Exhibition sales manager Sharon Yandell:

“I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone I have been speaking with over the past year.

“I’m also looking forward to talking about next year’s show which in 2019 is moving to the Marshall Arena at Stadium MK in Milton Keynes. This will be an exciting new opportunity for our exhibitors and a great venue for visitors.”

Events organiser Emma Cash:

“I’m really looking forward to this year’s event at the NEC and look forward to welcoming guests visitors in Hall 19. I’m thrilled we have yet another amazing line up of guest speakers for our Seminar Theatre too, and I’m interested to hear what these experts have to say about a range of topics.

“Gyles Brandreth will be co-hosting the Group Leisure & Travel Awards the night before, so I’m excited to see what else he can bring to the GLT Show.”

Publisher of Group Leisure & Travel magazine Rob Yandell:

“The GLT Show is a friendly exhibition where you see so many familiar faces year on year. One of the reasons for its ongoing success is because the day provides a platform where everyone can make those all-important personal connections. Magazines, brochures, websites and e-mails are great, but I really enjoy seeing old friends and meeting new people. It fires the imagination and creates new ideas and opportunities.

“Talking about what we do face-to-face is always the best way to engage with visitors and exhibitors. I am not hosting the seminar programme this year so I’m hoping to see much more of the show and meet as many people as possible. Come along to the Group Leisure & Travel magazine stand and be a cover star…. you’ll see what I mean.”

Group Leisure & Travel magazine senior editorial assistant Laura Sexton:

“I love coming to the show each year and meeting more of Group Leisure & Travel magazine’s lovely readers, not to mention all the incredible exhibitors who put a lot of effort into their stands each year.

“Every year is different and I’m really looking forward to seeing the exciting goings on around the stands. Last year we saw an adorable Saint Bernard dog on Switzerland Travel Centre’s stand – a personal highlight. I can’t wait to see what this year brings.”
