We’ve picked out some top openings and incentives to look out for on a visit to this year’s Group Leisure & Travel show, including a look at some first-time exhibitors.
Aerospace Bristol
Aerospace Bristol will be launching two new tours next year, including The Concorde Tour. Groups will have the chance to explore the last Concorde ever to fly in more detail than ever before, while exploring the remarkable history of the iconic jet at the site. Group rates are available with a variety of extra perks including free regular hot drinks for the coach driver and free entry for the group organiser.
London Transport Museum
London Transport Museum, renowned for its hidden London tours of disused stations, tunnels and secret stations on London’s transport network has opened its doors to the groups market for the very first time. The team at the show will be talking about museum group visits and depot tours in Acton, helping to organise a top trip linked to transport.
Waddesdon Manor
New for 2020, group can now visit Waddesdon in the Winter months, opening Saturday 1st February. Groups visiting the Buckinghamshire estate can enjoy the Gardens in February and March, bursting with snowdrops and early spring flowering bulbs. Guided walks and tours are available including lunch and afternoon tea in the Manor Restaurant or in the Old Coach House at the Five Arrows in the village of Waddesdon.
First-time exhibitors to look out for
Commonwealth War Graves Commission
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is offering visitors a chance to win a private guided tour of its new CWGC Experience visitor centre, located at the heart of the World War One
battlefields in France. The tour for two people includes extra behind-the-scenes access and a goody bag. The organisation specialises in making sure the 1.7 million men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars will never be forgotten.
The Silverstone Experience
Set to open in early November, The Silverstone Experience is a fascinating half-day visit, transporting visitors into the world of motor sport, culminating in an immersive show to feel the thrill of the historic track. A visit to the experience also includes a pre-show exhibition which will immerse you in the sights and sounds of motor racing, a look at how the track’s corners got their names and the chance to climb into a replica 1940s grand prix car.
The Big Journey Company
Groups can find out what The Big Journey Company has to offer, with tailor made escorted tours and group experiences to destinations all around the world including African Safari adventures and chasing the Northern Lights. The team are also offering a two-night weekend break in the Lake District to the winner of a show-exclusive competition – it’s free to enter to!
Hauts-de-France Tourism & Convention Board
First-time exhibitor the Hauts-de-France Tourism & Convention Board will be launching daytime cruises on the river Somme from World War One sites to the Somme Bay, perfect for war-history enthusiasts. The team also includes a variety of different attractions on the stand in France, which are tempting for a group trip.
