The biggest event of the group travel calendar is now just days away. On Thursday, 11th October, the doors of Hall 19 at the NEC will open to visitors – who are in for a very informative, fun and successful day.
There is a wide range of exhibitors at the show, from top attractions to overseas destinations and tour operators. Here, we pick out just six of the latest exhibitors at this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Show:
Salford Quays
Salford Quays, located on Greater Manchester’s waterfront, is a great destination for groups, whether you’re planning to visit for a day trip or an overnight stay. As home of MediaCityUK, it’s also the ideal place to discover heritage, culture, retail and leisure all in one place.
With attractions such as the Lowry, a waterside building housing theatres, galleries and a range of restaurants, cafes and bars, and City Centre Cruises, which offers trips on the Bridgewater and Manchester Ship canals, the area offers plenty to keep visiting groups busy.
Whitworth Hall Hotel & Deer Park
Travel just six miles out from Durham and you will find Whitworth Hall, nestled deep into its own deer park and surrounded by grounds that contain fairy-tale gardens and an ornamental lake.
The hotel itself has 29 rooms, all of which overlook the grounds, and the Deer Park, so that visitors can sit back and forget that they are so close to a bustling city as they take in the splendour of the Brancepeth countryside.
Royal Horticultural Society
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has been inspiring a love of gardens for over 200 years, but over the next couple of years it will be making some of the most significant changes in its history. The changes will see developments taking place across all of the RHS gardens and shows.
One thing that isn’t changing, however, is the fact that groups are welcome at the RHS shows and at each of the four UK based gardens – Wisley in Surrey, Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, Hyde Hall in Essex and Rosemoor in Devon.
Discounted tickets are available for groups visiting the RHS gardens and those attending the RHS shows.

Visit Coventry
Located just under an hour away from London, with an international airport just 10 minutes away and a variety of transport links that make Coventry easy to get to, the city is the ideal location for a day trip, or a weekend break.
Home to the ruins of Coventry Cathedral, an array of award-winning museums and several theatres, visiting groups will be able to immerse themselves in the history and heritage of the area, whilst simultaneously exploring the modern day attractions.
Leighton Hall
Unlike many historic houses, Leighton Hall in North Lancashire is a much lived-in house that is further brought to life by the guides.
From a chapel to a dining room that is still used every day by the Gillow family, the house and its gardens can be explored in its entirety, with no roped-off areas.
Groups can visit the historic house all year round and can make the most of a Guided Tour of the Hall, Garden & Woodland, as well as a free bird of prey display (weather permitting), before relaxing in one of the tearooms offering homemade cakes.
The Ascott Limited
