With the Group Leisure & Travel Show now less than two weeks away now, we round up six particularly intriguing and exciting features that visitors should look out for when visiting.
1. Meet a Smurf
Visit Brussels on stand 215 will be bringing along its mascot – a Smurf. Looking out for this brightly blue costumed character as you wander around the hall (Hall 18). Visitors are invited to visit the stand to discover why Brussels is an ideal destination for groups.
2. Make a furry friend
Visit STC Switzerland Travel Centre on stand 369 where you can meet the team who will be joined by a special guest – Hugo, the friendly St Bernard dog! The company has chosen to bring Hugo along as since the early 18th century, Augustinian monks living in the snowy St. Bernard Pass kept St. Bernard dogs to help them on their rescue missions after bad snowstorms. The breed has become a Swiss national dog and the cmpany says it’s only fitting to bring Hugo along with themto the show.
3. Free samples
Visit Condor Ferries on Travel Row and pick up some free samples. The company will be promoting it Poole to Guernsey group day trip where groups can likely pick up some duty free offers. The free samples will give you a little taste of what to expect if you take a future trip.
4. Happy hour
Visit the Group Leisure & Travel team on stand 654 and enjoy some mocktails being served up to celebrate the magazine’s new name and look. Happy hour runs from 1pm until 3pm.
5. Partake in a sing along
Visit Dunwood Travel on stand 603 and take part in a sing along as the team host a live musical performance at the show from some of its entertainers. There’s also a chance to win a Murder Mystery holiday.
6. Scarf giveaway
Visit Whitchurch Silk Mill on stand 663 and you’ll have the chance to win a silk scarf which has been woven on the silk mill’s Victorian looms. Just leave your business card for a chance to win.
