As the final preparations are made for this year’s Group Leisure & Travel Show, we bring you all you need to know and what to expect when visiting.

1. About the show

The GLT Show brings together a wide range of destinations, attractions, tour operators and accommodation and service providers, offering fantastic group deals and special offers.

This year’s show will see many new first-time exhibitors as well as loyal repeat exhibitors who consider the show as their primary way of talking to GTOs face to face.

2. The what and when

This year’s show will take place at Birmingham’s NEC in Hall 19 on Thursday 11th October. Doors will open at 10am and close at 4pm.

3. Parking arrangements

There is lots of on-site parking at the NEC and if you register as a visitor before or on 28th September you can benefit from a free parking offer. You simply park and then obtain a voucher from the dedicated booth in Hall 19 of the NEC. Terms and conditions apply – all the info can be found here.

4. Travelling by coach?

Free coach transport is available from a range of pick up points across the country, but seats must be booked in advance. You can find more details about the routes and timings here.

5. Arriving by train

Visitors travelling to the NEC with Virgin Trains can claim 25% off their fares. More information can be found here.

6. About the exhibitors

There’ll be a huge range of exhibitors at the show offering great offers for groups. They range from stately homes and castles to gardens and tour operators. Some of the latest exhibitors to sign up include St Martin-in-the-Fields, Sunset Beach Club, Dunwood Travel, Feretti Hotels and Stockeld Park.

7. Seminar speakers

This year’s seminar programme will involve three talks from travel industry experts and famous names. The free-to-attend Seminar Theatre will be headlined by Simon Calder, the well-known TV pundit and travel editor of The Independent, who is joined by TV broadcaster and author Gyles Brandreth and TV gardening expert Carol Klein.

All of the speakers will be offering advice on group visits and are available for Q&As following their presentations. Visitors are able to simply turn up on the day to access the popular seminars.

8. What the organisers have said
